I used Red Velvet Cake for the cake itself. It was a bit time consuming trying to cover the sides with strawberry flavored chocolate curls.
It took me two hours to decorate this cake, I was exhausted but happy with the result. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. It was almost night time when I finished this cake. I was also in a rush to bring this to the party.

How pretty cake! It is the first time that I am visiting its blog, and I say that I adored!
Anne, Really appreciate your patience and all that effort but what attracted me most was the uniform strawberry choco.shavings....that goes well with your frosting
:)

My birthday's in April. :)
(planning ahead and putting my order in early).
This is sooooo sweeet! I wish I am the birthday girl :)
Anne,
this cake is so pretty!!!!!!!!! And my favorite colour is pink! The cake would be perfect for my birthday in August (*hint*) I am just kidding. What is the red bits on top of the icing? Did you pipe with buttercream?
Hi Anne! This is so pretty and sweet :)
I so love to see decorated cakes. You are so talented. I love the pink curls on the side.
dinha, thanks for dropping by :)
Shn ,I almost run out of patience with the choco strawberry curls, it took me ages to stick everything on the sides. They were a bit fragile to handle.
evan, my courage ends in making cakes and yes, given the chance I dream of making a wedding cake if I somehow improve with my pipings. I can only do simple ones.
Deborah, Patricia, Thanks!
Dolores, I'll keep that in mind :)
Mandy, I love pink as well. oh your birthday is coming soon :0
the red dots are made of buttercream as well.
Elyn, thank you :)
Cheryl, Thanks for the complement. I consider cake decorating the best part in making cakes :)
anne, may i know where u get the 'happy birthday' sign? does it come with the doll? coz the only signs i seen are really ugly - the phoon huat ones.
Evan, I bought the sign at Sunlik and the little sugar doll is from BIY.
That is so girly and so adorable! I love it!!
