I've always wanted to try making Japanese Cheesecake way back when I was just starting to blog. Finally after almost 4 years I was able to try making one. I used the recipe here and it was a success :)

You made very pretty cake! That's very lovely!
I used that recipe too and I liked it, but I was surprised by how creamy it was. I thought it was going to be more spongy, like a chiffon with a light cream cheese flavor. :)
I've always wanted to try making this Japanese cheesecake too! I am not confident about beating the egg whites so it is still in my To-Do list ;) Your cheesecake looks so soft and moist!
Both cakes love marvelous
I've seen that purple cake before in your blog, but it was iced all over.. This time it's bare and I can see it all.
I'll experiment it with purple sweet potato and coconut milk :)
One question only about the purple cake, any food colouring or flavouring used?
Looking at yours reminded me that I should take some time out to bake this.
Kitchen Corner, Thanks for the compliment!
Manggy, Japanese cheesecake is readily available here in sg but the best I've tasted is from Bread Talk. I like the soft texture of this cheesecake but I'm not overly crazy for anything cheesecake :)
HHB, I am confident that you can successfully make this kind of cheesecake since you've already made sponge cake and chiffon cake :)
Wendy,
The purple yum cake is also iced. The whip cream which is covering the cake is covered with ube cake crumbs.
I use grape purple color.
Edith, you should try the recipe, it's good :)
Sooooo pretty and lovely..
Thanks for replying.
At least I won't feel that I'm doing something wrong if the cake comes out pale.
Fill with buttercream or whipping cream? I've fallen in love with real buttercream too, it's really yummy.
Wendy, I use whipping cream but buttercream will also do :)
wow cheese cake looks really good..
That cheesecake looks good! I'm gonna try it someday, Japanese cheesecake is the only kind of cheesecake I really like. Thanks!
